Description

Goodbyes are undoubtedly hard. They are more brutal when it’s an employee. It's even harder when you have to write a termination letter to an employee, and it is heartbreaking if it’s a voluntary termination from a top performer. There are several compliance issues in handling employee payments after termination because of the complexity of payments and laws in several states protecting terminated employees.  Payroll needs to understand these laws to ensure compliance.

In this online webinar, speaker Dayna Reum will discuss what employers face when paying terminated associates.

This course will review everything from final pay to stock options and employee payments that may occur years after termination. It will also discuss the difficult situation when you have to pay terminated employees’ legal settlements. It will also cover the tax implications and how to handle taxes in several types of termination pay.

Major topics covered in this course:-

  • Termination: When you must pay
